About the Role
We have an opportunity for an Intern Pharmacist to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bay for 2026.
This position will be based at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings commencing January 2026 (exact date to be confirmed with successful applicant).
As an intern, you will be mentored by an accredited preceptor, but will be supported by and learn from the whole team. You will be exposed to a variety of clinical and non-clinical experiences including;
- Ward based pharmacy services
- Therapeutic drug monitoring
- Providing medicines information
- Extemporaneous compounding
- Dispensing
- Patient counselling and education

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person with excellent communication skills, a strong team focus and desire to provide a quality service.
Applicants must be completing their final year of Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree and be eligible to work in New Zealand under an Intern Pharmacist scope of practice.
