Unichem Tower Junction Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our experienced team of 3–4 pharmacists and 5–6 technicians. Our primary focus is rest home dispensing using a JVM machine, and while we don’t work directly with patients, we maintain daily communication with doctors, nurses, carers, and hospital staff—ensuring quality, accuracy, and continuity of care.
The work is challenging and rewarding, with a balance between routine tasks and constant medication profile updates. You’ll be actively involved in clinical decision-making, including reviewing medication charts, making therapeutic recommendations, and participating in in-house training sessions for rest home nurses. The role also includes providing vaccination services.
We use online charting platforms and Toniq software, and most of the work is desk-based in a busy but fun environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Current NZ Pharmacy registration
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with Toniq and/or online charting systems is a plus
